Son is admitted to Notre Dame!!

My son who is a senior this year in high school here in Indiana has received early acceptance to NOTRE DAME! He is interested in computer engineering. Notre Dame had offered a very nice financial package for him. He was also excepted to Rose Hulman, Purdue and University of Pittsburgh.

We have now made campus tours of all the campuses. Notre Dame is still at the top of his list, but we worry for him to have to carry so much debt. He would be looking at about $20K per year the way it looks right now. Rose would have been about $10K higher with a debt load of $35K per year and at Purdue we are looking at about $8k debt. Now Pitt is paying him the most if he goes there and would be having everything paid for.

So we are weighting the options of ND,Purdue and Pitt. vs the debt he will need to take on. It seems everyone has a different opinion.

We are waiting on a announcement from Purdue on a department scholarship he was asked to sigh up for.

Notre Dame vs Navy

Well I hate to say this but am I the only one that came away from that game thinking that ND let Navy break the losing streak? It just seem that ND could have won that game but at the end was the thinking that ND season was so stinking so bad that this was the year to let the streak be broken? Just a feeling I got watching the end of the game. Not to take anything from Navy. so what do you think?

GO IRISH!

Well what can you say but this year sucked.... but the Irish look like they will have a better team next year. I like Charlie because he likes to go on 4th down and why, but the team just didn't pull it all together. I felt bad for the seniors but its over now. Well one good thing about this years was the ticket price was cheap to get in and watch!
